About AVO Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa
#TRANSPARENCY | #ACCOUNTABILITY | #INCLUSIVITY
Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa is a distinguished name in Lagos’s
sporting and entrepreneurial circles. Known for his passion,
vision, and commitment to community development, he is the
founder and CEO of Kings Sports International and the driving
force behind VINOD FA, a fast-growing football academy based in
Agege that nurtures grassroots talent and champions youth
empowerment.
His professional journey began at the globally respected firm
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 2017, before moving on to
pivotal roles at Providus Bank and Parallex Bank Limited, where
he served as Head of Performance Management and Strategy. In
2022, he transitioned from corporate leadership to
entrepreneurship, building a diverse business portfolio that
spans real estate, oil and gas, agriculture, and financial
services, each marked by growth, integrity, and innovation.
Abdul-Ganiyu’s academic record underscores his dedication to
excellence. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and
Finance from the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, England,
a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Aston
University, Birmingham, and is a doctoral candidate at Babcock
University. He is also a proud affiliate member of the
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
What sets him apart is a unique combination of intellectual
depth, strategic thinking, and unyielding drive. While many rely
on inherited privilege, AVO has carved a legacy built on merit,
resilience, and a deep connection to his community.
Beyond business, Abdul-Ganiyu is an active and respected civic
leader. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Gbagada, Chairman
of the Lagos State Mini Football Association, and sits on the
Executive Board of the Nigerian Mini Football Association, where
he continues to influence youth and sports development
nationwide.
Today, Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa is stepping forward to serve
Agege in a greater capacity. As a passionate advocate for
inclusive development and a card-carrying member of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), he is contesting for Chairman of
the Agege Local Government Area, with a clear vision: to lead
with purpose, deliver sustainable impact, and uplift every ward
through transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance.
“Leadership is not about position; it’s about presence,
purpose, and people.”
